My eyes aspire to admire what I can see not,
My ears hope to listen which I can hear not,
My feet love to advance where I can walk not,
My heart wants to pound where I can feel not,
Culture plays an important role in structuring our personalities. We are able to become what we are because of the culture that we follow. It has a huge impact on our society, our lives and our development.
Poets have used the concept of Nature differently in different eras. The Eighteenth century poets and Romantic poets were quite different in terms of employing the concept of Nature.
Nature stands as a source of inspiration for the poets but poets have taken it differently when they have written poetry in different eras of history. For romantics, nature constituted in poetry differently but for 18th century poets, nature’s role was different. Romanticism was a reaction against 18th century poets’ outlook (Deane, 1935, 67). George Bernard Shaw is a noteworthy name in English history who has contributed to the history with his plays and other writings. Drama for Shaw was an activity that could be used as a moral agent as through his dramas, he helped people in terms of solving moral issues. Moreover, he discussed different moral problems in his plays to help the people of society to consider the issue seriously. The issues that he highlighted in his plays are marriage and equal rights for men and women, prostitution and its reasons, relationships and many other social issues.
